How to send files from a PC to an iPhone without iTunes

Getting a file from Windows onto an iPhone usually means iTunes, a cable or emailing it to yourself. OmniBeam does it in the browser on both devices, in full quality.

Steps

  1. On the PC, open omnibeam.site. On the iPhone, open the same address in Safari.
  2. On the same Wi‑Fi, the two devices show each other after a moment. On different networks, tap the link button on one device, create a pairing code and enter it (or scan the QR code) on the other.
  3. On the PC, click the iPhone and pick the files, or drag them onto it. A whole folder works too: it arrives as a ZIP.
  4. On the iPhone, tap Accept, then Save.

Make it one click next time

Pair the two devices once and mark the PC as Trusted in the iPhone's Pair screen. From then on they find each other on any network, and files from the PC arrive without asking. On Windows you can also add OmniBeam to the tray and the right-click menu: see sending from the Windows tray.
