How to send files from iPhone to a Windows PC without a cable
AirDrop doesn't work with Windows, and cables, iTunes and emailing yourself are slow. With OmniBeam you send photos, videos and documents from iPhone to PC in the browser, in full quality.
On the same Wi‑Fi
- On the PC, open omnibeam.site in Chrome, Edge or Firefox.
- On the iPhone, open omnibeam.site in Safari. After a moment, each device shows the other one.
- On the iPhone, tap the PC and choose Photo Library or Choose Files.
- Accept on the PC. The files go straight across your Wi‑Fi and you can save them, or several at once as a ZIP.
On different networks
If the iPhone is on mobile data or a VPN, the devices won't see each other automatically. Tap the link button on the PC, create a pairing code, and scan the QR code with the iPhone's camera. They stay paired from then on.
Tips
- iPhone photos are often HEIC, which Windows can't always open. OmniBeam can save them as JPG.
- Keep Safari open on the iPhone until the transfer finishes; locking the screen pauses it.
- For the fastest Wi‑Fi transfers, tap ⚡ Faster Wi‑Fi transfers on the iPhone and allow the microphone once (nothing is recorded).
- Pin OmniBeam to the iPhone home screen: Share button, then Add to Home Screen.
